ABOUT NATIONAL RURAL DEVELOPMENT & RECREATION MISSION

The National Rural Development & Recreation Mission (NRDRM) is an initiative established under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, to facilitate the social, economic, and infrastructural empowerment of rural populations across the country. Its inception aligns with the broader goal of ensuring inclusive growth and development in rural areas, which constitute a significant part of India's demographic fabric. The NRDRM is committed to addressing the challenges faced by rural communities through a range of innovative, sustainable, and people-centric programs.

Our Objectives

  • Promoting sustainable livelihoods and improving rural income levels.
  • Developing rural infrastructure such as roads, electrification, water supply, sanitation, and housing.
  • Implementing welfare schemes that focus on health, nutrition, and social security.
  • Strengthening rural institutions and governance structures.
  • Ensuring financial inclusion, digital literacy, and access to credit for rural entrepreneurs and farmers.

Through these initiatives, NRDRM and the Ministry of Rural Development aim to transform
the rural landscape and contribute to the broader vision of a "New India" by 2047.
